JASON McLEAN
Jason McLean is President and Chief Executive Officer of the McLean Group. Jason was appointed to his current role in 2010 following eight years of success in serving in various senior roles within the company. Jason leads McLean Group’s businesses, overseeing strategic goals, capital decisions, and all major transactions in each of McLean Group’s operating and investment businesses, as well as coordinating dialogue between McLean Group ownership and company management. Jason is particularly committed to supporting and empowering individual business leaders across the McLean Group portfolio and over the last decade has focused on ensuring that the businesses have the right capital structure and financing to achieve their goals.
Jason is a graduate of the law school at the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar in that province after articling with Stikeman Elliot. Prior to joining McLean Group Jason worked in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada, the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien. He is a certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and in 2010 graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management Program.
In addition to his roles with McLean Group, Jason gives his time to multiple boards and community organizations. He currently serves as a Director of CIFAR, a Canadian-based global research organization, as well as the CN Community Board for BC. Previously, he served as Director and Chair of the Board of the Vancouver Foundation, Canada’s largest community foundation, is a Governor (past Chair) of the Vancouver Board of Trade and served on the UBC Board of Governors and Vancouver Police Board. Jason, along with his brother Sacha, was recognized by Ernst & Young for an Entrepreneur of the Year Award Pacific and is a past recipient of the Business in Vancouver Top 40 Under 40. In 2022 Jason joined the board of Fuller Group of Companies which includes the Earls, Joey, and Cactus restaurant brands.
